We started going to Mary Birch, and so far it's going well. This WAS our first appointment with them, but it went well enough off. I received the Pap and didn't postpone... again. I give them kudos for making the pap smear more unenjoyable than before! Instead of one of those extra long Q-Tips, they have now replaced it with a lovely long plastic stick with a "scrapy" shape on the end. Just lovely. It felt just like she said... "a scrape". I was happy that the "duck beaks" were plastic here and not the grouchy, cold metal ones like my last one!
I'm really just giving you a hard time, there was much more to the visit than mild unpleasantness!
The most joyful part of the appointment was hearing our baby's heartbeat. She saved that for last because it was the best part! It was a tender and exquisite moment. Hubby and I were so happy to hear, and George... I'm sure he thought it was cool (though he still has no clue there's a baby in mommy's tummy).
Besides that, it was the typical "waiting around" in an elegant pink kimono top and paper skirt. Self Hypnosis made it the most enjoyable wait time ever and made me feel so relaxed like I was at a day spa! I did self hypnosis for my last birthing, and now I need to gussy up my skills! I was never diligent enough in studying, but this time I plan to do more prep work and, I hope, have a natural birthing!
