I have made an amazing discovery... "Time Out for Women!". I've heard about from sisters in my last ward, but never really new much about it (besides it was a "break" mom's got from their children and responsibilities to nourish themselves). -I recently found a post on Facebook from a sister in my last ward advertising it, and that there was a "live feed" that could be purchased for the event. I thought, Hey that's awesome, I could actually do that. I kept the page open on my computer, showed it to my husband to see if he approved (he did), and then forgot about it till the evening of. Last evening, I was curious, is tonight really the night that's on? Sure enough it was, and I was just 15 minutes late logging into the whole start of the event! I had no idea it was for LDS (Latter Day Saint) women and my jaw dropped as I realized more and more how much of a spiritual event this was. Now, on the second day of the live event, it dawned on me that Time Out for Women is equal in importance and specialness as to Young Women's Camp! Have any of you walked away from Young Women's camp without feeling amazingly touched spiritually as you read the letter you mom sent the Young Women's leaders for you to read during the special walk or spiritual message they give towards the end? Oh my goodness, you cry. Well, by golly, this event has helped me to connect with the inner women in me, the inner woman that the world works so hard to suppress and make you loose touch of and works to harden spiritually. Well, let me tell you, never again will I miss one of these events. I so hope they always have a stream feed so I can attend it from our rural location. People from Japan, China, the Philippines and more around the world have purchased the feed to the live event. At first, it seemed as important as conference, but it's really not required, as Young Women's camp, but like Young Women's camp, takes a lot of money to put together (hence the fee for the feed or entry into the event itself, which cost more). These women worked so hard to put this together and to keep this going, so that's why I'm posting about this (as well as to my daughter(s)). I hope Emilie will be able to go to this event or watch it online as an adult when she's older. It's been such a booster to me and is such a special event! Even if you are not LDS and are another Christian domination, there is so much all can take from this and I encourage you to go! *Love and hugs* Mary
