We're pretty excited, our stroller has been picked! Here it is ladies and gentlemen, the Baby Trend Sit N' Stand 3000 (I added the 3000 part ;)) George modeled it beautifully, and really wanted to make sure everyone would see where Emilie would be sitting! His favorite spot really is the carseat. Shopping for it was really exciting, even though we just had 20 minutes at Target, went overtime and were late to my Prenatal appointment. A lady couple stopped and watched as everything (Giant boxed carseat, giant boxed stroller, huge box of diapers and wipes) fell off the cart as we exited. I was oddly comforted that they stayed to make sure we got everything on the cart, they were so nice (even if they only stopped to be standbys, the moral support was appreciated). As we rushed to the cart, everything balanced on top, I dragged George (who was very obedient strangely enough at the time... he loves going spaghetti legged!) and then Scott loaded everything in. To our dismay, it didn't fit... well, it did, just not so Scott could drive!!! I quickly took the mission of driving us, and by golly, I nearly didn't fit!!! My belly is getting huge, and if we had gotten in a car accident, I know I would have died because I was too close to the air bag!!! I was determined not to get into an accident of course though, and we arrived fabulously late... with a brand new stroller, yeah!
Thankfully, the doctors office was able to squeeze us in (normally they would have canceled after 10 minutes), and we were there for just a little over half an hour to 45 min perhaps waiting! Going in, I was enthusiastic to have our birth plan accepted and hardily supported by our doctor (who knew, I sure didn't!!!). Apparently, Dr. McNally is awesome, just like the reviews. NO ONE ELSE GO TO HER, she's my dr. and I only get 4-6 minutes with her now that I'm finally in the 3rd Trimester (I've determined she spends 2 minutes to each semester your in. She's busy, I hate hospital Docs being so busy, but whatever. In pregnancy your on your own, but at least you may have a good doctor for your birthing). Anyway, she accepted the birth plan, yeay!!!
On another note, if you want to know what my insides look like, I'm 3 cm dilated and 50% effaced (take that "practice contractions!"). Just 2 cm more and I'll be in active labor! She says my cervix is ripe, and everything looks good. Apparently things go a lot quicker for the second pregnancy and baby, but I may stay at this percentage of 3 cm and 50% effacement for several weeks with out change she says. Well, I'm hopeful and excited. My body's pre-prepped for birth, so I'm pretty confident it will go quickly and smoothly. I have a supportive and loving husband and a great doctor who appreciates natural birth, so with all of this in mind, I'm pretty comforted. Now, just pray I don't hemorrhage and that our Heavenly Father will take care and help me through the birthing process! Thank you for your support :)
